FM Logistic has broken ground on an €80 million logistics platform in the Moscow region town of Bolshoye Tolbino. Located near the capital’s central ring road, it will offer 107,000 sqm of storage space. It will also house a cross-docking facility for consumer goods that need minimal storage and fast shipment. The first section of the complex is due for opening in April 2022. The corresponding warehousing space has already been booked.

“The logistics centre in Bolshoy Tolbino will expand our presence in the Moscow region and reduce the pressure on our other facilities in the area,” said Oleg Alkhamov, FM Logistic’s country general manager in Russia.

The building has applied for the LEED certification, an international standard that recognises more sustainable buildings.

FM Logistic is Russia’s largest warehouse operator with 890,000 sqm as of end-March 2021. The new investment is expected to create 300 jobs
